Sales Accounts Manager

Report to: Directors

Division: Cape Town/Johannesburg

Overall job objective: Develop and sustain new sales channels, and contact, establish and maintain a good working relationship with IronTree partners and end-users.


Key selection criteria

  • Competence in general project management
  • Excellence in sales and account management
  • Experience in sales and technical pre-sales
  • Efficiency in overseeing won deals to completion
  • Possession of comprehensive IT knowledge and/or experience


The successful applicant will have the ability to:

  • sell IronTree services
  • drive sales targets
  • work closely with vendors, partners, resellers and direct SME clients
  • educate and motivate resellers to sell IronTree services to their client base
  • build and maintain relationships with resellers and manage their respective reseller profiles
  • work closely with internal support, technical, marketing and finance departments
  • arrange and coordinate webinars, workshops, one-on-one meetings and reseller training
  • work within the IronTree back office system and other internal applications
  • manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects, proposed quotes and forecasts


Minimum requirements

  • At least three year’s experience as an IT/technical account manager, or similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft MCSE or similar
  • Excellent telephonic manner; ability to speak at business owner level
  • Car and valid driver’s license
