How does Radar work?

F-Secure Radar is a robust scanning system that checks your workstations, servers, network equipment and web applications for vulnerabilities. It then helps you manage and eliminate these weaknesses, and rescans to make sure all vulnerabilities have been eliminated. Radar works either as a private, on-site solution operating behind a business’s firewall or as an online SaaS solution that's accessible to you wherever you are.

Five easy steps

There are five uncomplicated steps in the scan management workflow:

  1. Discover: Radar maps the assets and systems of your IT network
  2. Scan: The scanning engines identify weaknesses in the systems
  3. Manage: The scan results are viewed and managed
  4. Report: Reports are generated
  5. Verify: Systems are rescanned to ensure weaknesses have been fixed

What you need

Radar uses a browser-based interface to run, so you’ll need the latest version of one of these browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari. The interface is straightforward and easy to use, as well as being the central point from which to oversee the whole process, from mapping your network and setting scanning schedules to generating customised reports and eliminating weaknesses.

With F-Secure Radar your company has the tools to control and manage its IT security risks. You have access to an unlimited number of scanning nodes, scans and user accounts and the pricing system is based on the number of hosts or IPs scanned, with monthly or yearly billing.
